Sturgeon populations are dangerously low in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan—and worldwide. These fishes’ role is paramount to the ecological stability of Lake Superior; by tagging and tracking sturgeon in local waterways, we can better understand the local population’s overall health—and bring the population back to higher levels.
