Collection for SWE Supporters

One of the largest and strongest student organizations we have on campus is our Society of Women Engineers (SWE) – Michigan Tech.

For over six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. SWE is centered around a passion for our members’ success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today’s exciting engineering and technology specialties.

Every year, corporate sponsorship helps ensure that these students get to strive toward advancing their goals of Intergrity, Respect, Mutual Support, and Professional Excellence.

To help recognize these sponsors, a new Collection has been created in Handshake to highlight jobs available at these companies. Please use the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Supporters collection as a way to get your job search started.

Michigan Day is September 9, 2025

This fall, Michigan Tech is thrilled to welcome back Michigan Day — an exciting event made possible through our continued partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and InvestUP. Building on the success of previous years, this collaboration aims to connect students directly with the people and possibilities shaping Michigan’s economic future.

Hosted as part of our broader Career Fest series, Michigan Day offers an immersive experience for students eager to explore their career options. It’s not just about job openings—it’s about helping students discover where their passions and skills can make the greatest impact right here in Michigan. Through conversations, presentations, and interactive exhibits, students gain real insight into diverse industries across the state.

Beyond career exploration, Michigan Day celebrates the unique communities and lifestyles that make Michigan such a special place to live. From the scenic beauty of the Upper Peninsula to the vibrant urban centers downstate, the event showcases how professional growth and quality of life can go hand in hand. Students learn firsthand about the hidden gems and well-known destinations that could someday become their new hometowns.
