Welcome to our new isotope ratio mass spectrometer…

The Ecosystem Science Center successfully obtained NSF MRI funds to replace a twenty-year-old isotope ratio mass
spectrometer (IRMS). The IRMS is critical to several funded projects and expands the isotopes
and sample types that can be analyzed, enabling new lines of research in NRW&E associated
research fields. The new instrument was installed in July and August of 2021 and is now
operational.
