Eligibility:

  • Be U.S. citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 states, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico
  • Current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate students who plans to enroll full-time for the entire 2021-2022 academic year
  • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, and participation and leadership in school activities and work experience
  • Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields
  • Be enrolled in the following majors: Athletic Training, Psychology, Biology, Kinesiology, Nursing, General Medicine, Dentistry, Behavioral Sciences, Personal Training, Physical Education Teaching and Coaching, Health and Physical Fitness, Exercise Science, Sports and Recreation Management, Health Sciences, Physical Therapist, or another health- related major

IAAP Joanne Kluessendorf Memorial Scholarship

Amount: At least $2,000 (up to 5 awarded)

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be entering their Junior or Senior year of college and be pursuing undergraduate work only, on a full-time basis. Students completing their final requirements including a final semester of student teaching are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicant must be majoring, or intends to major, in a curriculum which will be compatible with a career in education.  Possible areas of study may include Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Science, or Natural History Museum Programs.
  • Applicant should have a GPA of at least a 3.00.  An application from a student with a lesser GPA may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
  • Selection criteria are based in part on the applicant’s financial need, character, attitude, and achievements.

Amount: At least $2,000 (up to 5 awarded)

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be enrolled or enrolling at an institution of higher learning (hereafter referred to as college) and be pursuing an undergraduate degree, on a full-time basis.  Students in their final year of high school may apply.
  • Applicant must be majoring, or intends to major, in a curriculum which will be compatible with a career in the aggregates industry such as (but not limited to) Civil Engineering, Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering, Mineral Science or Mining Engineering.
  • Applicant should have a grade point average of at least a “B”.  An application for a student with less than a “B” average may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
  • Selection criteria are based in part on the applicant’s financial need, character, attitude, and achievements.
