Dr. Bo Xiao and his student Xiaoyu Hou traveled to Washington, DC last week for the NAIRR (National Artificial Intelligence Resource Research) Pilot Annual Meeting on March 10-13, 2026. 600 researchers gathered for this invitation-only conference hosted by Internet2 with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The event focused on AI, science, education, and innovation.
Xiaoyu presented a poster on her current research. Her poster was titled, “Feasibility Study of Generative AI in Construction Safety.” This opportunity provided a chance for feedback for her and sparked conversations about the future of this kind of research. Dr. Xiao and his student were proud to be the only Michigan Tech representatives at this conference.
