Beginning in January 2020, Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7 with continued security updates. At that time, Michigan Tech IT will remove all Windows 7/8 PCs from the Michigan Tech network.
If you currently have a Windows 7 or 8 PC, you will need to move to Windows 10 by January 1, 2020. Depending on the age of your current computer, hardware upgrades or computer replacement may be required. We would be happy to assist you in understanding what is required for your specific situation and what needs to happen for this upgrade to occur.
