As a public affairs specialist at the St. Pete Coastal and Marine Science Center, in Florida, you will work with the United States Geological Survey. This position is responsible for assisting project chiefs to improve communication through development of web pages, social media content and press releases. The public affairs specialist will also host stakeholders and provide technical assistance and training. Public events at the science center will also be the responsibility of this position. Those interested in communications and environmental science may especially find interest in this work.
A Ph.D. or prior work in at the GS-09 level in the federal government is required for this position. A combination of graduate study and experience may also be used.
