Funded MA/MS Assistantship at Idaho State University

A funded research assistantship is available for a motivated MA/MS student interested in environmental social science and social-ecological systems to join a transdisciplinary team as part of the Idaho Community-engaged Resilience for Energy-Water Systems (I-CREWS).

This project will relate to the themes of social resilience, environmental stewardship, local/Indigenous knowledges, food sovereignty, and/or energy-water systems.

Key partners within this project are the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and the Treasure Valley energy-water community.

This two-year position will begin in Summer or Fall of 2025 and includes one year of support for the student (approximately $24,000 per year), a tuition waiver, funds for fieldwork, and support for travel to meetings.

PhD Graduate Student Research Assistantship at the Department of Community Sustainability at Michigan State University

This assistantship will begin either Spring or Fall 2025. The advisor is Doug Bessette, PhD. The position is part of a 3-year project, entitled: Fast and (or?) Fair: Are Rapid and Equitable Processes for Large-Scale Solar Development Mutually Exclusive? The project is funded by the Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office Solar Energy Evolution and Diffusion Studies (SEEDS 4) program.
