Network Manager

MiCAN (Michigan Climate Action Network) is seeking a full-time Network Manager to build, support, and coordinate their growing network. This is a full-time position with virtual work options within the state of Michigan. MiCAN states that they “serve as the megaphone for the statewide climate movement, and their primary mission is building a well-trained, well-coordinated, strong network of advocates that demand equitable climate action.” This position will work on member services, engagement, administrative operations, and team support. History, Art, and Archives Internships with the U.S. House of Representatives

Within the US House of Representatives, the Office of the Historian and the Office of Art and Archives have internships available for undergraduate and graduate level students. They are looking for candidates with a background in history, political science, library science, and art history. The interns will spend approximately 24 hours a week working on historical and biographical research, educational content creation and outreach, archival and object processing, object, photo, and record preservation, and curatorial content creation. While the offices are located in Washington D.C. there is potential for in-person, hybrid, or virtual work. This internship is unpaid; however, interns may work with the intern coordinator to accommodate scheduling relating to potential academic or work requirements. These internships may be available for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Applications for Summer of 2024 are now open.

Opportunities at the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation

  • The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) in Washington, D.C., has internship and fellowship opportunities available for undergraduate or graduate students. The following positions are available. The deadline for all is February 17, 2023.
    • ACHP’s Office of General Counsel (OGC)
      • In need of a second-year law student to intern full-time this summer. The intern will be working remotely and will carry out legal research relating to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
    • Office of Federal Agency Programs
      • Seeking a 20 hour/week virtual intern to support the agency’s training program on Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
    • Office of Communication, Education, and Outreach (OCEO)
      •  Seeking a full-time virtual intern to research and develop materials highlighting the importance and benefits of historic preservation for all Americans, including engagement with a wide range of communities, organizations, and educational institutions representing more diverse audiences.
