FILM BOARD:  This week the Film Board is showing Super 8 in Fisher 135.  It will be shown on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17 at 6:00, 8:30, and 11:00 pm.  Tickets are $3 each with a Tech ID and concessions range from 25 cents to 75 cents.   If you have any questions, please contact Film Board’s Publicity Chair, Carissa Lindeman, at clindema@mtu.edu.

HAM RADIO TRAINING:  HARC will be offering training to get your Ham Radio Technician license.  It will be Tuesday, September 20, Thursday, September 22, Tuesday, September 27, and Thursday, September 29 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in Fisher 131.  Attend all dates for the full class, but you are welcome to attend one.  There will be a licensing exam on a later date.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Angela Selden at amselden@mtu.edu or join our mailing list harc-l@mtu.edu.  If you are interested in Ham radio and would like to learn more, the first session will be an overview of what it is and what we do in the local community.

LATIN AMERICAN DANCE:  Join us on Friday, September 23 beginning at 8:00 pm in the MUB Ballroom B for a fun and relaxing time at the first Latin American dance of the year, a BOAT PARTY!   Wear your summer-boat-cruise outfit!  Learn how to dance to Latin music with free salsa lessons and make new friends.  Following the lessons, there will be a three hours (9:00 pm to midnight)of open floor dancing including salsa, merengue, and bachata.  No partner needed-family friendly-all skill levels-FREE!  Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. 

This event is organized by NOSOTROS, Latin Student Organization at Michigan Tech, and supported by the Graduate Student Government and the Undergraduate Student Government.  For information contact amirchi@mtu.edu
