Upcoming Volunteering Opportunities
Copper Country’s Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help with their build in South Range:
Two volunteers are needed for Thursday, June 17 from 9 AM – 3 PM. Lunch will be provided. They will be working on the Ice n Water shield, porch roof, and hurricane brackets.
On Saturday, June 19th, 5 volunteers are needed for Drywall nailers, foam board on exterior walls, finish porch roof, shingles.
On June 22 and 23, volunteers are needed to help assist with the construction of the new playground at Chassell Centennial Park. Lunch will be catered for both days. Please respond to this email if you are able to help!
You do not need to have experience in doing any of these tasks, there will be someone there showing you what will need to be done. For Covid safety standards, Habitat is asking that all volunteers be vaccinated and be two weeks out for the safety of everyone volunteering. Contact Sandy at email@example.com if you are interested.
The Capture Your Adventure program is underway, but it isn’t too late to join in! All you have to do is follow @mtu_wellbeing on social media and start following the prompts! Each week that you post using the hashtag enters you into the drawing for some spectacular prizes such as a tent and sleeping bag, a bike, or an inflatable paddle board! This week’s prompt is sunrise/sunset, so capture that beautiful photo and join in the summer fun! Have fun, get outside, and capture your adventure Huskies!!
