Shuttle Service Updates

To all our valued shuttle passengers,

First and foremost, thank you for your continued patience as we work diligently to address capacity issues and routing adjustments due to a change in bus size. We appreciate your support and feedback as we strive to improve your transportation experience.

To enhance our service, we are excited to announce the addition of an extra bus, which will be called the Day Shadow. This Shadow bus will operate during the following hours:

  • 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • 4:55 PM – 6:00 PM

Additionally, many of you have requested an extra stop in Upper Daniel Heights, and we are pleased to inform you that we have made this happen! The new stop will be located in front of the MTU Preschool on the west side of Upper Daniel Heights.

Another significant improvement includes adjustments to the Hancock bus schedule,  bringing it closer to its previous timetable. The Hancock bus will now begin at 7:20 AM, with its first stop at Northern Mutual. Additionally,

  • The Hancock bus will no longer travel through Daniel Heights before stopping at the MUB
  • It will drop passengers off at the MUB, complete one round through  Daniel Heights, stop at the MUB again, and then depart for Hancock at the top of the hour.
  • Decals to identify our Hancock and main Husyk Campus Shuttle have been installed. It is our hope this helps passengers understand which bus to get on.

We hope these changes will effectively address our current capacity challenges and enhance overall rider satisfaction. These updates will take effect starting Monday, February 17. 2025.

In addition, we have been collaborating with the newly formed Transportation Advocacy Group to gather valuable feedback from passengers like you. To assist in this effort, we have launched a survey to collect data on our shuttle service. Please find the QR code and survey link attached:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdi_YvAXegKgmIo-QnU-IbXQmITTq0iRwUUj8gOIB4X3ZYkYw/viewform

We encourage all passengers to participate and share their thoughts!

To keep you informed, we have also updated our schedules on Tripshot, our website, and digital boards. As always, if you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to stop by, call or email Transportation Services.

Thank you for your continued support.

Manager, Transportation Services
