- If you are interested in communications systems and networking, consider to join our team. Undergraduate (UG) research can be used as credits for Technical Electives and for other degree credits upon department and instructor approval. Examples of UG research include: Vehicle Communications CAN/LIN buses (design, hardware/software implementation), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) simulation, Communication systems for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, among others.

- There is *NO* full time financial support for Master students: Qualified candidates may be offered hourly stipend depending on the project.
- PhD student position: Dr. Aurenice Oliveira, associate professor in the ECE department at Michigan Technological University (USA), is seeking a *PhD student* to work as graduate teaching assistant (GTA). Dr. Oliveira’s areas of interest are described below. The specific PhD student research topics will be defined after a semester of adaption to areas of interest.

- Minimum Qualifications for PhD students:
- Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Solid background in Mathematics (including Probability and Stochastic Processes)

- Sufficient knowledge in Communication Systems, Analog/Data Communications, Computer Networks
- Research experience on any subset area of Signals and Systems
- Financial Support for PhD students:Qualified candidates will be offered teaching assistantship (TA) that includes tuition waiver plus a bi-weekly stipend for the academic year. Additional funding will depend on student’s performance.
