Student Auditor Position

Here is a reminder note from Michigan Tech’s Internal Audit Department:

We are continuing to accept applications for our student auditor position through next Friday, January 13, 2012.

Job Description

The Michigan Tech Internal Audit Department is now accepting applications for a student auditor.   The beginning hourly rate for this position is $7.40, with opportunities for increases commensurate with progress.   The expected start date is January 2012.   The deadline for applications is Friday, January 13, 2012.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Will work independently on audits or assist audit personnel in performing audits of University operations

Will work 12-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

May assist the University’s external auditor with the year-end financial audit

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Graduating in December 2012 or later

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and display a high level of professionalism

Proficiency with personal computer applications, especially word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A dependable individual who is motivated to excel and is willing to accept new challenges

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Have a basic understanding of accounting principles

Student in the School of Business and Economics
