  • CCI Systems Upgrades CNSA Learning Lab

Since 2002 the Michigan Tech Computer Network and System Administration (CNSA) program has been producing sought-after graduates who are helping to advance the telecommunications, networking, and cybersecurity industries. Throughout this time, CCI Systems, Inc. has partnered with Michigan Tech to provide state-of-the-art equipment and help develop industry-informed curriculum for comprehensive student learning.

CCI Systems recently furnished a CNSA learning lab with twelve new industry-standard routers and switches to further supplement student learning. In addition, CCI Systems Vice President for Solution Architectures, Todd Gingrass, has contributed proactively to the improvement of the CNSA curriculum, and he provides valuable feedback to students on their senior design projects.

Gingrass is a member of the CNSA/HI IAB Subcommittee of the Applied Computing Industrial Advisory Board. The Advisory Board meets periodically to discuss how the Applied Computing department can anticipate and respond to emerging trends in the industries in which our graduates work.

“The Department of Applied Computing  is grateful for CCI Systems’s expertise, support, and generosity throughout the previous two decades,” says Dr. Daniel Fuhrmann, chair of the department. “Our partnership with CCI Systems ensures that CNSA students receive the education they’ll need to excel in today’s changing workplace.”

CCI Systems delivers communication solutions and services across-the-network, aiding operators throughout the country. The company combines forward-thinking engineering and the latest technology with practical field experience to grow business, according to the company’s website. An employee-owned communications solution provider, CCI Systems, was established in 1955 in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
