Jingfeng Jiang, Biomedical Engineering, has received a $31,300 grant award from Spectrum Health Foundation titled, “Machine learning-based detection of heart defects in neonatal patients.” A physician and scientist partnership, the long-term goal of the research is to accelerate the translation of computational imaging and analytics to the bedside.
Jiang is director of the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems’s (ICC) Center for Biocomputing and Digital Health (BDH). His research interests include biomechanics (bio-solids and biofluids), medical image/signal processing, machine learning and computer vision with applications in medical imaging, and the development of ultrasound technologies for tissue characterization
