CS Doctoral Student Nuisen Chen Awarded Finishing Fellowship


The Graduate Dean Awards Advisory Panel and Graduate School dean have awarded a spring 2023 Finishing Fellowship to Computer Science doctoral student Nuisen Chen. Niusen Chen is advised by associate professor Bo Chen, Computer Science.

The fellowship award letter noted that the panel was impressed with Chen’s research, publication record, and contribution to the mission of Michigan Tech.

The fellowship award provides full support, including tuition and a stipend. The intent of the fellowship is to allow the student to focus their time on their dissertation so that they can complete their degree requirements during the fellowship period.

The fellowships are funded through the generosity of alumni and friends of the University.

Bo Chen is a member of the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems’s (ICC) for Centers for Cybersecurity (CyberS), Computing Education (CompEd), and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
