Ph.D. Student Abel Reyes Angulo to Present Paper at Premier Computer Vision Conference


Ph.D. Student Abel Reyes Angulo, Engineering-Computational Science and Engineering, has received a conference registration waiver award from the IEEE / CVF Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR).

At the conference workshop, “Perception Beyond the Visible Spectrum (PBVS),” Reyes will present his paper, “C-PLES: Contextual Progressive Layer Expansion with Self-attention for Multi-class Landslide Segmentation on Mars using Multimodal Satellite Imagery.”

Reyes’s doctoral advisor is Sidike Paheding, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Computing.

The IEEE / CVF Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR) is one of the most prestigious conferences in computer vision. The event takes place June 18-22, 2023, in Vancouver, Canada.
