A paper co-authored by graduate student Zichong Wang, Computer Science, and Assistant Professor Wenbin Zhang, Computer Science, titled “Individual Fairness Guarantee in Learning with Censorship” has been selected for presentation at the 26th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2023), which takes place September 9 to October 5, 2023, in Kraków, Poland. The paper is titled, “Individual Fairness Guarantee in Learning with Censorship,”
The paper was one of more than 1,600 papers submitted to the conference, with just 24% of all reviewed papers selected. Additional co-authors are Professor Thomas Oommen, Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences, and Carnegie Mellon University faculty Cheng Cheng, Juyong Kim, and Pradeep Ravikumar.
Zhang’s areas of expertise include ethical Artificial Intelligence, healthcare, and data mining. He is a member of the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems’s (ICC) Centers for Data Sciences (DataS), Biocomputing and Digital Health (BDH), and Human-Centered Computing (HCC).
ECAI is Europe’s premier AI research venue, ECAI 2023 will feature a full program of technical papers, as well as many AI-related events of interest for researchers, students, and industry professionals. This includes workshops and tutorials, as well as sister conferences for starting researchers (STAIRS) and prestigious applications of AI (PAIS). The conference is supported by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) and the Polish Artificial Intelligence Society (PSSI).
