Michigan Tech Michigander EV and Mobility Tech Scholars are invited to attend the Detroit Auto Show for one day between September 13 and 24. Ten complimentary passes are available.

If you choose to attend on Mobility Scholars Day, September 14, you will explore the show floor in the morning, meet for lunch, and attend two EV and Mobility Tech Scholar-related student discussion panels.

At the first panel, from 10-11 a.m., a Michigander EV and Mobility Scholars participant will speak to a group of high school seniors and their teachers, who are focused on encouraging more students to pursue STEM degrees, particularly in engineering. The Scholar will discuss the transition from high school to college, what their college experience has been like, what the EV/Mobility Tech Scholars program is like, and what they are looking forward to in EV and mobility careers. The moderator of this panel is a Michigan Tech alumni who now works for BOSCH.

The second panel, hosted by MICHAuto from 1-1:45 p.m., will be presented by a senior-level Scholar who has completed an internship in the EV/Mobility Tech sector. They will discuss Gen Z entering the workforce. The panel takes place on the Auto Show’s main stage and it is expected to draw up to 200 company executives, HR/recruiters, and other industry professionals.

Travel and lodging expenses will be reimbursed up to $500 for the first ten Michigander Scholars who request tickets. Expenses will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts.
