Charles Wallace Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to SIGCSE Technical Symposium

The 2024 SIGCSE Technical Symposium Program Committee has recognized Associate Professor Charles Wallace, Computer Science, for his outstanding contributions to the symposium while serving as an Associate Program Chair for paper reviewing for the conference. The symposium took place March 20-23 in Portland Oregon.

The SIGCSE Program Committee used a number of different criteria for choosing who should receive this recognition, including how well discussions were managed and the quality of the meta-reviews. The committee noted that Wallace’s work rose to the top.

The Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE TS) is organized by the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) and is the organization’s flagship conference. The SIGCSE Technical Symposium addresses problems common among educators working to develop, implement and/or evaluate computing programs, curricula, and courses. The symposium provides a forum for sharing new ideas for syllabi, laboratories, and other elements of teaching and pedagogy, at all levels of instruction. The symposium provides a diverse selection of technical sessions and opportunities for learning and interaction.
