Michigan Tech Alternative Spring Break 2020

Student Leadership & Involvement is offering two Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trips. In partnership with NetWork Volunteers and Long Way Home, students will be able to volunteer in Houston, Texas or San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. ASBs exist to promote service learning and community building to Michigan Tech students through participation in experiential learning opportunities via alternative break.

In Houston, students will assist in revitalizing the community after Hurricane Harvey through urban gardening and working in public green spaces.

Students will attend the Green Building Academy to give students hands on experience in green, sustainable building and construction practices in Guatemala.

Applications are now open until December 20. Please encourage your students to apply. Questions can be directed to Beka Horsch at huskyhelpers@mtu.edu
