How to Find Your Registration Date & Time
Not sure when you can register? You can look at the PRIORITY SCHEDULE or you can check your credits/date in Experience.
Your Experience page should tell you how many credits you have earned and your official registration date/time. Full instructions can be found HERE, but here is a condensed version:
  1. Locate and select the Student Registration card on the Experience page.
  2. Click on the Registration Dashboard link.
  3. From the Student Registration Main Menu, select Prepare for Registration.
  4. Select the upcoming term you want to register for and click Continue.
  5. On the resulting screen, you will see your registration status, earned hours summary, and time ticket (the exact date and time window when your registration opens).

Preparing for Registration

If you have questions about what courses you should register for in Spring 2027, you should be thinking about this now. These things should be prepared BEFORE you leave for Fall Break.

Review Your Academic Plan

  • Your academic plan should be up to date unless you have dropped a Fall 2026 course.
  • This plan is created specifically for you based on: Courses taken at Michigan Tech, Transfer credits, AP courses, Dual enrollment
  • Course numbers are a strong suggestion — please do not make changes without discussing them with me first.
  • Italicized courses can be moved around as you see fit.

Prepare Any Required Waivers

  • If you need a prerequisite, corequisite, special approval, level, major or Time Conflict waiver, follow THESE instructions.
  • Enterprise students: Complete the required SPECIAL APPROVAL WAIVER for ENT 3950, 3960, or 4960

Choose Your Courses and Sections

  • Select all courses AND sections ahead of time.
Check out THIS BLOG POST with all required BME courses that have multiple components.
  • Please remember: Michigan Tech cannot guarantee availability in all desired sections.

Reminder: You must earn a C or better in CH 1150, MA 2160, and PH 2100 in order to progress to BE 2700 and BE 3800.

Helpful Tools

  • Review the PREPARE FOR REGISTRATION page, provided by the Registrar’s Office
  • I highly recommend using the new “Make a Plan” feature. This allows you to plan ahead and upload your courses with one click at your registration time.
I also suggest keeping a backup list of: Course subjects, Course numbers, Sections, CRNs in a Word or Excel document—just in case.
