Winter WonderHack 2018

Winter WonderHack is Back!

36 hours | prizes | food | tools and gadgets | industry talks and workshops | 300 students | multiple schools | Feb 23-25 at the library

Join us for Winter WonderHack, a 36-hour make-something marathon hosted at MTU in the Van Pelt and Opie library over the weekend following career fair!

WWH is a hackathon in the old MIT sense of the word – create something new from something old (or from scratch). It is open to current and recent students from any school in teams of 1-4. This is an industry sponsored event; we’ll have workshops/talks/demos on Friday night and on Saturday on topics that participants could use in their projects or may just find interesting by mentors, sponsors and faculty and community guests. It’s a good opportunity to learn about new things (like metal casting, how to design pcbs, run a start-up, or graphic design), try out tech you might not otherwise have access to (from microcontrollers to 3d printers), and have some fun (drone racing, lN2 ice cream…). It can be treated as an alternate, focused career fair as well. This event is FREE and open to all current students. Whether you’re an experienced maker or this is your first time, you have a place at Winter WonderHack. So get out there!
