Internship: Great Lakes Climate Corps (GLCC)

The Great Lakes Climate Corps (GLCC) is hiring over 40 full-time seasonal employees for the 2023 summer field season. GLCC is a program administered by the Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP), a non-profit located in Marquette, MI. GLCC crews work and camp as a team of 4 young adults on projects primarily located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with some projects extending regionally. Crew Leaders and Members partner with Tribal, federal, state, and local professionals to accomplish a variety of high priority conservation, restoration, and recreation projects.

GLCC is hiring several USFS technicians for individual placement with the Hiawatha and Ottawa National Forests’ recreation, botany, hydrology, fish & wildlife departments. We’re also hiring four “specialty crews” who will focus on single projects for the summer including community gardening with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, forestry work with the Ottawa National Forest, drone inventory of road-stream crossings, trails and wildfire prevention crews.

Please feel free to share these employment opportunities with your students and recent graduates! I invite you to use the attached slide in your lectures and share the attached job description poster with colleagues who may also have interested students.
