Spring Course – HU3400, Diversity Studies (Online)

HU 3400, Topics in Diversity Studies (Online, Spring 2018)
Looking is one of the most natural reflexes we have. We look at things and people all the time, but how often do we think about this daily action? How are we perceived by others? This class is designed to take a step back and understand how our gaze and how looking work, how it is engineered, how we can broaden our understanding of looking/ being looked at in order to be more sensitive to diversity surrounding us.
This course is on the HU/FA General Education list and also counts toward the Diversity Studies minor.
