Showcase[AI] to Explore Artificial Intelligence

The Institute of Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) and the College of Computing are pleased to present Showcase [AI] from October 4-6, 2023, on the Michigan Tech campus. The event is the third computing showcase presented by the ICC and Computing[MTU]. The event is free but registration is requested.

Showcase [AI] will explore artificial intelligence and its excitement and controversy through panel discussions, workshops, keynote speakers, and interactive events. View the calendar of events.

ICC Achievement Awards and inductions to the College of Computing Honor Academy will be awarded during the event. A student research poster competition will also take place.

In conjunction with Showcase[AI], Michigan Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) events will take place on campus on Friday, October 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An initiative of the Michigan Manufacturing Association, MFG Day is observed annually on the first Friday in October.

Michigan Tech’s MFG Day will bring local manufacturers and researchers together to discuss AI, Industry 4.0, and the unique manufacturing occurring in the Keweenaw peninsula and the Upper Peninsula. Manufacturing technology-related events and demonstrations include Waupaca Foundry Casting Demonstrations, a tour of the Michigan Tech mechatronics lab, a keynote speech presented by Tom Kelly of Automation Alley, interactive displays, and more.
