Sumanth Kalluri, Michigan Tech graduate student will present “Integrated Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Life Cycle Assessment of Road and Rail Freight Transport” tomorrow in Dow 642 from 4 to 5 p.m.
This study reports the analysis of all costs and emissions during phases of construction, operations, maintenance and final salvage/recycling for both the infrastructure and equipment that are used for comparisons of road, rail and road–rail freight transport. It will include a case study for the movement of ore between a mine and the refinery in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and the movement of refined concentrates between the refinery and Escanaba, Mich.
All are welcome to attend.
