Marketing Intern Position

Students,

Here is a marketing internship position that has flexible hours
and the potential for good earnings.  It is not for folks who
are shy.

This is a pretty good “product” and could sell well as it has in the past….

If you are interested, you may send your resume to me.  I will forward these on to the company.

This marketing firm will provide training.

Read on:

We are considering a student for a part time paid internship to help us facilitate several projects in the Houghton area.  Specifically, the Campus Coupon Book that is distributed to both Michigan Tech University students faculty and staff, and also the same at Finlandia University.   JC Advertising is a creative “out of the box” guerilla marketing company that focuses on helping our customers bottomline through non-traditional low cost per impression marketing strategies and projects.  We print and distribute 10,000 books throughout both campuses by means of dorm mailboxes, orientation, and student bookstores.

The job would include but not be limited to:

Temporary Job….Paid

Students,

Paid position (temporary) using your proofreading/formatting skills.

This is not for everyone….needs excellent attention to detail and patience…
but looks like a good way to pick up a few $$s…..

Need to move quickly…..project must be completed by September 30th…

This is a single project requiring excellent proofreading skills, precise attention to detail, and document formatting skills using Microsoft Word (version 2007 or later). There are 19 documents (approx. 2 pages each – some more) that need to be reviewed for accuracy in comparison to a printed document. They also need to be formatted to look identical to the printed document using the correct formatting attributes (example: using the tab key instead of 5 spaces). The text will then be copied and pasted into a pre-existing template where further formatting may be needed.

This project could be completed at an off-site location; however, the candidate will need to stop by the office to pick up the hard copy document and to return the hard copy upon completion of the project. If the candidate intends to work off-site, frequent updates on progress are expected via email or phone and the candidate must have Microsoft Word version 2007 or later. All candidates will need to complete a proofreading/formatting skills test for consideration of hire.

This project must be completed by September 30th. Compensation is $10/hour. Please call Carole Noonan at 906-487-1148 or email csnoonan@mtu.edu for more information.

Department of Defense Opportunities

The Department of Defense has named the new STAR (Student Training and Academic Recruitment) student for the 2011-2012 academic year.  She is Rhea-Ann Moses.  She requested that I pass the following information on to you.

Good Afternoon,

My name is Rhea Moses and I just started as the new STAR student at Michigan Tech. I am a student recruiter for the civilian sector of the Department of Defense (DoD) on our campus. Throughout the year I will be receiving information about internships, co-ops, scholarships and jobs (career opportunities) within the DoD.

This program is extremely important to our campus; facilitating information from DoD recruiters to students could potentially help them get internships or co-ops that can lead to a great job after graduation.  I have a lot of information at my disposal to help students see the benefits of working with the DoD and would love to show them all the opportunities available.

The DoD is not just looking for engineers either! They hire from all different majors and departments. So if a student does not think that they would be suitable for a DoD job just based on their major, that is not true. It never hurts to look into the existing opportunities.

I have an office within Career Services at the new location 220 Administrative Building. If you have students that want to contact me, my email is rhea-ann.moses@cpms.osd.mil and my phone number is (703) 501-9673.
