The Emmet County Road Commission (Harbor Springs Michigan) has an opening for a summer intern. The road commission has several larger projects going this year including construction of a timber bridge, a large aluminum box culvert, a cold-in-place pavement recycling project, as well as a variety of other work including overseeing gravel crush production measurements, traffic counts, and assisting with survey work. The road commission pays $15 per hour with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and some overtime on projects. This is a chance to work with one of Michigan Tech’s civil engineering alumni to learn about transportation engineering and construction.
