Hello Michigan Tech!
Strategic Education through Naval Systems Experiences (SENSE) Enterprise is searching for talent from all majors and all years. Our projects typically focus on designing, building, and testing systems with a focus on Department of Defense Naval applications. It only makes sense for you to come to our info session to learn more!
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH AT 4:00 PM IN DOW 642.
We’ll have free food, current SENSE Enterprise members to talk to, and more information about who we are and what we do. Our advisor and Director of the GLRC, Dr. Havens, will then give us a tour of the GLRC!
Projects you could join this year:
- MECC (Marine Energy Collegiate Competition) – Advance the marine energy industry through competition with other collegiate teams. Design, Prototype, and test a Wave Energy Converter in the MTU wave tank.
- RAUB – Modify a BlueROV2 to develop robust autonomy in a tethered underwater vehicle involving sensors, localization, mapping, and path planning.
- MEOWS – Mechatronic Electro-Optical Warehouse Systems. Using an “Off-the-shelf” vision hardware module to detect where a forklift is relative to its surroundings while visualizing itself in a virtual workplace.
- OISTAR – Ocean Infinity Subaquatic Terrain Autonomous Research Implementing a Sound Velocity Profiler to an 8m Ocean Infinity ASV for lakebed mapping and research
- N.E.E.C. – Evaluate the reliability/security vulnerabilities in an autonomous marine vessel system and design a systematic solution.
