Electrical Field Engineer – Spring 2025 Co-op

The Gordie Howe Project is an international bridge between Detroit, MI and Windsor, ON. The bridge has a total length of 1.5 miles and has the longest main span of any cable-stayed bridge in North America with the US tower being the second tallest structure in the State of Michigan. This $6 billion+ project is looking for an Electrical Field Engineer to help oversee the installation of the bridge’s electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
• Document project-wide coordination meetings, subcontractor schedules, and safety hazards.
• Coordinate scopes of work between multiple subcontractors as they pertain to the project’s permanent and temporary electrical systems.
• Supervise electrical equipment handling and installation.
• Utilize drawings to accurately coordinate the installation of electrical system materials.
• Insure electrical components meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate with project team members on a daily basis.
• Review, analyze, and compare legal contracts, records, schedules, and cost breakdowns.
Skills:
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to represent the company and coworkers in a professional manner at work
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Education/Experience:
• 2nd year+ Construction Management (preferred), Electrical Engineering (preferred), Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering
