Scholarship – Barry Goldwater Scholarship

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is one of the most prestigious awards available to undergraduate students in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The primary eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • The student must demonstrate a clear commitment to pursuing a Ph.D. and a research career.
  • A strong academic record (typically GPA > 3.6).
  • Sophomore standing (the award could apply for two years) or junior standing (for a one-year award).

Applicants must also have prior research experience, ideally resulting in conference presentations or publications. Please note that fourth-year engineering projects are not considered competitive unless they can reasonably be expected to lead to scholarly publications.

Interested students should simply review the program website at https://goldwaterscholarship.gov/ and complete the preliminary information form.
