The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being – Fall 2026

The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to engage in hands-on health & well-being education and support each semester. Individual counseling services are available to students, along with support and therapy groups, a Husky Hour Series, and special semester events this fall. We also offer options for online counselor support through Mantra Health, which works hand-in-hand with our Center to ensure care is connected and comprehensive. We encourage faculty, staff, & advisors to recommend these programs and services to the students that you meet with.

The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being has a digital Fall 2026 Events & Programming Flyer that will hopefully make it even easier to share this information with students when you are meeting with them. A physical copy of this flyer along with our rackcard about the Center, Mantra/Walk-in Hours card, and a mental health resources bookmark were sent via interoffice mail to all the Undergraduate Advisors. We have very limited additional copies available that you can request by emailing counseling@@mtu.edu

Anyone interested in helping us promote mental health and well-being events and programming can join our list-serv/Google Group. We will send promotion details and resources for each individual event that you can share either formally (to use in a department newsletter for example) or informally (for advisors to have event information to share with students).

For additional information on what services the Center provides, please visit our website: https://www.mtu.edu/well-being/ If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

ITE MTU Event – Internship Opportunity at MDOT

The ITE MTU Student Chapter would like to invite you to our first event of the semester. We will be hosting an event about “Internship Opportunity at MDOT” with three representatives from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), who will also be attending the Career Fair on Tuesday. They will guide the students and have sessions so that they can learn more about the current industry practice, opportunities at MDOT and much more. Event details are as follows:

Date: Monday, September 28

Time: 3 – 4 PM

Location: Dillman 214

Pizza will be provided for attendees. This will be an informal conversation, so feel free to bring any questions you have about transportation engineering, careers, and internship opportunities at MDOT, or what it is like to work in the transportation industry.
