Job Posting: Bergmann

Email from a CEE alumna:

I will be at the career fair next Wednesday representing Bergmann. We are currently looking for an entry level bridge engineer in our Lansing, MI office (as well as several other positions throughout the company).  I figured that I would reach out and see if you could pass along the information below to your students. (I would really like to have another Husky in the office. We are overrun with Spartans!)

I have been with Bergmann for 3.5 years now as a Project Engineer in the Bridge Design Group (with 4 years of prior experience elsewhere). Our largest client is the Michigan Department of Transportation, however we also perform work for local agencies and the private sector. Some notable projects that we have completed are the rehabilitation of the Cut River Bridge on US-2, the University Drive over I-75 Diverging Diamond Interchange (the first one of its kind to be built in Michigan), and I-75 Segment 1 design-build (located near Pontiac).  We have numerous projects that we are currently working on including design-builds, bridge replacements, a railroad bridge replacement, a deck replacement, culvert replacements, load rating contracts, bridge scoping/inspection, etc.  Links to our company website and the position description are below.

Job Postings – Procter and Gamble

Procter and Gamble is looking hiring for both full time and intern manufacturing engineering positions. Our new engineers commonly start their careers as either process engineers where they focus on building, maintaining, and improving the systems we use to operate the equipment in our facility while building capability in our workforce or as plant engineers where they focus on utilizing the engineering work processes to evaluate and install the capability in our facilities in order to meet our business goals.

I’m hoping you can share this information with the Environmental Engineering department. It would be great to have some of these students fill out our online application and complete the associated assessments, which take about 30 minutes. We will have a team up at career fair later this month and will be doing interviews the following day. Students who take and pass the assessment before the career fair have an upper hand towards getting an interview. The directions to apply are as follows:
