Job Posting: MDOT is seeking a North Region Design Engineer

As part of the North Region Design Squad, this position prepares the design plans for transportation design projects in the region.

This position requires knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak, Roadway Modeler, ProjectWise, Trnsport and design drafting standards.

This person prepares proposal material, reviews project related documents, and performs quality assurance checks on plans as directed by the Region Design Engineer.

Spring 2020 courses on environmental philosophy and Indigenous Perspectives

There are two new courses being taught Spring 2020, both of which focus on different ways of reflecting on our relationships to our natural environments, asking questions about the meaning of environment, ecology, resources, and management, with a particular emphasis on the perspective of indigenous peoples.

IEEE Women in Engineering Webinar Series

The ECE department will be streaming a webinar from IEEE titled “Advice I Would Give My Younger Self.” Hosted by former IEEE president Karen Bartleson, the presentation will focus on her career path and advice she has for aspiring women engineers. All are welcome! Karen will discuss a range of topics including leadership, mentoring, and paving a path to success.
