Tim Havens Awarded Grant from ARiA / Defense Threat Reduction Agency

Timothy Havens, William and Gloria Jackson Professor, Computer Science, has been awarded a $60,006 ARiA / Defense Threat Reduction Agency grant titled, “Generative Modeling of Multispectral Satellite Imagery – STTR Phase 1.”

The objective of the grant is to develop a methodology for producing synthetic multi-spectral satellite sensor data for the purpose of training low-shot machine learning models.

Havens is the director of Michigan Tech’s Institute of Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) and Great Lakes Research. Center (GLRC).
