Your Feedback Requested on MTU Center for Convergence and Innovation

The Michigan Tech campus

The Center for Convergence and Innovation (CCI) is a new Michigan Tech building construction that will co-locate the College of Computing and the College of Business in a new, shared facility.

The CCI will intentionally promote connections among faculty and students from both colleges. While each college will maintain its own distinct identity, the CCI will introduce new convergence spaces and experiences including Centers of Excellence, new degree programs, entrepreneurial projects, outreach to businesses and communities, and increased funding for research.

The CCI will promote cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship with reconfigurable spaces and theme-based shared digital lab facilities, classrooms, flexible collaboration spaces, student learning centers, open-access conference rooms, a reconfigurable digital maker space, entrepreneurship training hall, and lecture halls.

The CCI is at the very beginning of its design process and your input is critical to the project’s development. This survey is the first of many engagements to share your needs and expectations. It will take less than 10 minutes and is available through June 11, 2023. Responses are confidential and only reported in aggregate.

Michigan Tech students who complete the survey and provide their email addresses will be entered in a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
