Arcadis is the world’s leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a geotechnical, civil, or structural engineer to join our team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience with strong organizational and team-building skills who feels comfortable with a dynamic work flow.

As part of our Resilience Environment team, you’ll help improve quality of life. You will work alongside Engineers, Project/Program Managers, and Technical Experts on various activities in support of diverse pipeline asset integrity and environmental assessment project portfolios. This opportunity is to support our growing asset integrity team with geotechnical aspects related to pipeline geohazards. Primary focus will be on pipeline integrity associated with natural forces (especially related to rivers).

Role accountabilities:

Our services encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at pipeline and asset assessment, design, and geotechnical evaluation. You will specialize in providing field and office support for a diverse portfolio of projects underway, catering primarily to oil and gas and other industrial clients.

You will actively scope, estimate costs, and perform natural forces assessments on pipelines; potentially covering coastal, riverine, and land movement risks. Your focus will be on geotechnical engineering and you will collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines including fluvial geomorphologists, and environmental engineers on relevant projects.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with developing technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals on project opportunities.
  • Perform field work (up to 25%) with a focus on health and safety in various climate and geographies.
  • Assisting geotechnical engineering team in evaluations of existing and proposed conditions in geotechnical modelling software for design and construction.
  • Assisting geotechnical team with reduction of field data for engineering evaluations.

As part of our Resilience Environment team, you’ll help improve quality of life.

Responsibilities will require interaction with national and global technical project teams so strong written and oral communication skills are vital to this position. This position will demand multi-tasking abilities to work on several projects at once; it is also critical that the candidate can meet (sometimes demanding) schedule expectations.
