Tech Classes Begin Monday!

Welcome back from Winter Break, Huskies!

Ski and Snowboard classes begin Monday as scheduled.

To reduce wait times, and better serve all of our students and guests, all RENTAL EQUIPMENT for classes should be secured prior to the first day of class.
Equipment will be set up in advance and available for pick up in the rental pick up building (small green building outside the lower main entrance) prior to class times.

If you are renting for the first time, allow a minimum of 30 minutes to pick-up equipment and be ‘on snow ready’ prior to the start of class. Classes will meet in the RACE ROOM, (blue building west of the main chalet) on week 1.

Get your RENTAL EQUIPMENT TODAY and be ready for classes next week!

Contact Ripley Office at 906-487-2340 with questions.

Chalet Improvement/Expansion
The Mont Ripley Chalet was built in 1965 when Tech’s enrollment was 3,400. It is more than double that now, with 44 percent of the student body visiting the ski hill last winter.

Top to Bottom Beginner Run
The addition of a new top-to-bottom beginner run would better serve guests of all abilities. The new green run would be established to the far east side of the current skiable terrain.

Additional Parking
By providing more convenient parking options, more community members can enjoy a day of skiing!

Expanded Parking Area

These previous capital projects for Mont Ripley have been successful:

  • An all-hill lighting system was installed in 1997 and allows for wintertime evening recreation.
  • Snow-making capability for the entire hill in 2006 and adds weeks to both ends of the season.
  • In 2007, the Copper Hoist chair lift was added, doubling our chair capacity.

Will you join us in our next steps to grow Mont Ripley?
