Job Posting: Procter and Gamble

From a MTU alum….Procter and Gamble will be at the career fair this week. My team and I are based out of P&G’s manufacturing facility in Green Bay, WI where we manufacture some of P&G’s iconic paper brands in Bounty, Charmin, and Puffs. We are hiring for both full time and intern manufacturing engineering positions. Our new engineers commonly start their careers as either process engineers where they focus on building, maintaining, and improving the systems we use to operate the equipment in our facility while building capability in our workforce or as plant engineers where they focus on utilizing the engineering work processes to evaluate and install the capability in our facilities in order to meet our business goals.

I’m hoping you can share this information with the Environmental Engineering department. It would be great to have some of these students fill out our online application and complete the associated assessments, which take about 30 minutes. We will have a team at career fair and will be doing interviews the following day. Students who take and pass the assessment before the career fair have an upper hand towards getting an interview. The directions to apply are as follows:

1)Visit www.us.pgcareers.com

2)Click “Apply and search for Jobs”

3)Enter Job # below and complete application

R000017327  Manufacturing/Physical Distribution Process Engineer – Green Bay

R000017333  Manufacturing/Physical Distribution Intern – Green Bay

Thank you,

Lauren Keenan (MTU Alumni 2018)

At SmithGroup, we are focused on exploring ways to Design A Better Future. One of our opportunities to achieve this objective is through our efforts to create a more diverse workforce in our industry. In support of this goal, we are proud to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2022 SmithGroup Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Scholarship Program.

Now entering its fifth year, this program’s mission is to provide students from historically underrepresented groups with the opportunity to attain their professional goals while advancing the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry and improving the built environment. As you can see in this video, the program is truly making an impact in the lives of these students.

The program provides a one-time award of $6,000 to five talented students to help offset their tuition at their current academic institution. Additionally, the scholarship recipients will serve as paid summer interns at any SmithGroup office in the United States where their discipline is located.

The deadline for entry is October 29, 2021, so we encourage you to share this information with the faculty, staff and students at your institutions and invite eligible students to apply.
