Internships are open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology. We are looking for someone that is in the civil engineering-surveyor program that is interested in a summer job while in college with the intention of making this a career upon graduation.
We are seeking students with the following qualifications:
Current undergraduate student working towards a degree in a civil engineering field, surveying or construction management
Must be flexible with schedule
Familiarity with CAD integrated software (Agtek, Heavy Bid etc..)
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess excellent work ethic and exude positive attitude
Great organization and prioritization abilities
Must be willing to work outside in good and inclement weather
Good driving record and valid driver’s license
Previous work experience is a plus
Ability to prioritize work & meet project deadlines
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
The Intern position has more flexibility with part-time or full-time, but 12 weeks is preferred. Interns will learn about multiple career paths in our company, and will be trained to become a full-time employee after college graduation. Some duties and responsibilities include:
Assist estimator, do take offs, prepare bid set ups
Assist in managing & tracking of submittals
Learn the details of our business & get some field experience
Estimating cost for change orders
Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
Scheduling of various contracts and materials
