The Michigan Tech Department of Chemical Engineering congratulates Isabel Chapa (advised by Dr. Yixin Liu) on being selected as a recipient of the 2026 AIChE Women in Chemical Engineering (WIC) Travel Award.
The award provides support for women in chemical engineering to attend the 2026 AIChE Annual Meeting and includes Annual Meeting registration, an $800 travel stipend, and a one-year AIChE membership.
As part of the award, Chapa will also have the opportunity to present her research at the WIC Keynote Poster Session during the 2026 AIChE Annual Meeting.
This recognition provides Chapa with an opportunity to share her research with the broader chemical engineering community while connecting with fellow researchers and professionals at one of the field’s major annual gatherings.
