The Michigan Tech Chemical Engineering Department is proud to recognize Isabel Chapa as our 2026 September Graduate Student of the Month!
Advised by Dr. Yixin Liu, Isabel has had an outstanding semester, earning first place in the Chemical Engineering External Advisory Board (EAB) Poster Competition and being recognized as an AIChE Women in Chemical Engineering (WIC) Award winner.
In addition to her research accomplishments, Isabel has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting and serving her fellow graduate students. She mentors Write-D and serves as a co-chair for the Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB).
Her accomplishments reflect her dedication to research, leadership, mentorship, and excellence within the Chemical Engineering Department.
