The ESEM is online. We repaired the broken BSE detector. As far as I know everything is working properly.
ESEM in Electron Optics
There is a problem with the ESEM. It can’t be used until we can look at it on Monday.
Looks like I sent a notice out there that the ESEM was down. It’s online now and being used.
The ESEM is currently down. Jerry will be working on it Monday morning. We will update when we know more.
The ESEM is back online now.
It’s been reported that there is something blocking part of the beam on the ESEM. Jerry is going to check it after lunch.
IT has rewritten the logbook system software. There are some great new features that we will appreciate. It isn’t ready for installation – on some systems we are going to have to upgrade the thin clients (little computer boxes) to use a newer web browser. We’ll do initial testing on the FIB since it gets less use. These instruments will be upgraded
