Three buses start loading at 11:30 a.m. from the MUB Bus stop and will leave at approximately 10 minute increments throughout the event. Please try to use our free bus transportation because parking is very limited at the park!
Food will be available at the event from noon – 3:00 p.m.

Indian Food at Khana Khazana
A taste of India is on tap at Friday’s Khana Khazana in the MUB Food Court.
The menu features:
- Chicken Do Pyaza—chicken curry cooked in tomato gravy with onion.
- Rajma Masala—kidney beans steamed and cooked with vegetables
- Mixed Vegetable Pakora—crispy fritters as appetizers
- Gajar Halwa—sweet dessert pudding made with carrot
Serving is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6.95 for the full meal.
Get Ready for the 2nd Annual Keweenaw Color Run
The 2nd annual Keweenaw Color Run will be happening on September 18. Filled with color powder at every station, this 5K supports the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter in Houghton, MI.
When registered, runners will get a free t-shirt in front of the Memorial Union Building at Michigan Tech the morning of the race.

Muck Run 2016
Runners of all abilities are invited to the Muck Run on October 29 at 10:00 AM at the Michigan Tech Trails. The Muck Run is a trail 5k through mud, muck, and maybe even snow hosted by the Michigan Tech Cross Country teams. There are door prizes as well as awards for each age group and the Best Halloween Costume. Film Board Presents X-Men Apocalypse

Free Outdoor Concert on the Rozsa Lawn
Bring your lawn chairs, bring your blankets: The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts is proud to present “An Old Fashioned Twilight Concert,” a free outdoor concert put on by Michael Christianson, Michigan Tech’s Director of Bands, with performances by the Superior Wind Symphony, in which they will celebrate the birthday of the godfather of band concerts, John Philip Sousa. Come spend a beautiful fall evening full of band music on Sunday, September 18, 7:30 PM, on the Rozsa/Walker lawn.
If it rains, the show will be inside, in the McArdle Theatre, 2nd floor of the Walker Center.

Healthy Relationship Week Events
Michigan Tech is participating in Healthy Relationship Week during the week of September 12, 2016 which includes RAINN Day next Thursday, September 15. RAINN Day is RAINN’s (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) annual day of action to raise awareness and educate students about sexual violence on college campuses.
Several activities will take place on the Michigan Tech campus in observation of Healthy Relationship Week:
*From 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, stop by the Walker Lawn to preview and participate in Self-Defense tactics as taught by RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) instructors. All genders are welcome to attend this demonstration.
*Be sure to join us for one of the performances of Sex Signals at either 7 or 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14 in Fisher 135 for a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation that provides a provocative, in-your- face look at issues surrounding dating, sex and date rape on college campuses. Seating is first come first seated. Funding for this training is provided by the State of Michigan/Michigan Department of State Police Grants and Community Services Department. Grant Number CSA-5- 16 – Campus Sexual Assault Grant Program.
*From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 15 at the Husky Circle, Michigan Tech and Dial Help will hold a sexual violence prevention awareness campaign event that will include distribution of resource information and an;It’s On Us; signature event. Stop by and take the “It’s On Us” pledge to stand up against sexual violence. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be held on Friday, September 16.
*In addition, on Thursday, September 15, coffee shops on college campuses across the country, including ours thanks to Dining Services, will replace their regular coffee sleeves with #TalkToRAINN coffee sleeves, featuring the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org).

Campus Store Limited Fitting Accommodations for Career Fair
Effective September 6, 2016, the Campus Store retired its fitting services and will no longer be providing measuring or alteration drop-off/pick-up services.
For the Career Fairs in September and February, the Campus Store will schedule limited fitting accommodations with a local vendor for in-store purchases for Michigan Tech students. Due to the limited nature of Campus Store services, please prepare early and watch for upcoming fitting dates.
