The MITA Scholarship Fund offers financial support to individuals hoping to pursue a career in the heavy construction industry. This scholarship is not only available for students who may be looking to get a 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, etc. but also for those who are looking to attend a trade school. Anything heavy construction related. Alec Fisher Scholarship
- Applicants must be current MTU students, junior status or above in Fall 2024.
- Applicants must be enrolled in Environmental Engineering or Management Information Systems.
- Applicants should have a GPA of 3.2 or better.
- Preference is given to individuals from the Upper Peninsula.
- Financial need is strongly considered.
Applications must be submitted by March 16, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Scholarship award winners will be notified by May.
