Are you curious about Lean and continuous improvement? Want to find a way to boost your resume? Looking for a new way to be more productive and organized? Well, here is your chance. Mark your calendars.
Students, we are hosting an information session for you on from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the East Reading Room of the Library. There will be food, refreshments and a learning opportunity or two. You may not know much about lean right now, but employers do, and it is a valuable professional skill that could help you land your next interview or job. This information session is a great way to be introduced to the skills in an informal setting, and to find out about other opportunities for you, on campus, to increase your skills.

Representatives from BNSF are planning to hold an info session on Wednesday, Oct 4th, after Rail Day, but they need your help! They want to make sure the space they use is large enough, and they are planning to include food. In both cases having a feel for the number of students that will attend is crucial.
My name is Katie Tomasoski and I am the Manager of Technical Services for Verso’s Quinnesec Mill (located in the Upper Peninsula). Verso is a leading producer of printing papers, specialty papers and pulp and has two manufacturing locations in the UP! I graduated from MTU with a Chemical Engineering degree back in 2003. I will be at Tech this week for the career fair and will be hosting an info night on Wednesday at 7pm in the MUB Ballroom B-2. Besides learning more about Verso, students will have the opportunity to win a JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker & Car Charger Bundle (along with free pizza of course!). We are recruiting for Environmental Engineering co-ops.
