Info Session: Innovative Global Solutions Enterprise

Come learn about the Innovative Global Solutions Enterprise at our information Session:
Wednesday, November 8th, 5:00-6:00pm in MEEM 402.
IGS works to find solutions to problems facing areas in need. Currently, we are engineering a low cost ventilator for a hospital in Ghana and are in active new project development. IGS offers students the opportunity to apply skills to alleviating global problems and collaborating with teams locally and abroad with the possibility of being able to travel. Students in any major are encouraged to join! Fish tacos will be provided!
If you have any questions or are interested and unable to make it, email Nichole at nsmackey@mtu.edu.

Curious about LEAN?

Are you curious about Lean and continuous improvement? Want to find a way to boost your resume? Looking for a new way to be more productive and organized? Well, here is your chance. Mark your calendars.

Students, we are hosting an information session for you on from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the East Reading Room of the Library. There will be food, refreshments and a learning opportunity or two. You may not know much about lean right now, but employers do, and it is a valuable professional skill that could help you land your next interview or job. This information session is a great way to be introduced to the skills in an informal setting, and to find out about other opportunities for you, on campus, to increase your skills.

BNSF Info Session, Wednesday, Oct 4th

Representatives from BNSF are planning to hold an info session on Wednesday, Oct 4th, after Rail Day, but they need your help!  They want to make sure the space they use is large enough, and they are planning to include food.  In both cases having a feel for the number of students that will attend is crucial.

Bernia Ivey, from BNSF will be the primary presenter.  Among other duties she is responsible for the Management Trainee program for the Railroad, and is responsible working with all levels of the company to hire and retain employees.
If you think you will show up, please click on this SURVEY LINK, add your name and check the times you might be available in the evening.  Thanks!
