Each year, the MCA of Chicago and several of our member contractors sponsor scholarship programs for students enrolled in Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, and other disciplines related to the Mechanical Construction and Service industry.
Applications for 2019 scholarships must be submitted by September 13, 2019.

The Chicagoland AGC is the voice for Chicagoland’s Commercial Construction industry and we believe in supporting our future leaders by interacting while they continue their education. Through our Construction Scholarship Foundation we have awarded 73 applicants renewable scholarships amounting to more than $350,000. Many of our recipients also score internships with some of our biggest general contractor members.

ACEC of Michigan’s Scholarship Program was created to promote the profession and to provide financial support to those individuals pursuing careers in engineering and surveying. On an annual basis, the Council awards scholarships to deserving college students who have completed their freshman year and are enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering or surveying program. Recipients of the awards will be evaluated in the following areas: Work experience, extra-curricular and community activities, references, grade point average, and a written essay.
Applicants must have worked for a private engineering, architectural or surveying firm in the past 24 months.

The Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association is pleased to announce that it will award at least two student scholarships again in 2019. We are currently accepting applications. Deadline to apply is Thursday, November 7th.

Title: Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Senior Undergraduate Scholarship
Deadline: March 29, 2019
Scholarships will be awarded for the 2019/2020 school year and have ranged from $5,000 to $10,000 in recent years. Successful recipients must be U.S. citizens and enrolled full-time at the senior level (during the 2019/2020 school year) in an accredited civil engineering program, or in a related field as determined by ASDSO, and must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction and operation of dams.
Undergraduate students planning to graduate in May/December 2020 will be eligible for the 2019 scholarship.
Minimum Criteria – Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for the first three years of college and be recommended by their academic advisor.
Basis for Award – The basis for selection will generally follow these guidelines:
o Academic Scholarship
o Financial Need
o Work Experience/Activities
o Essay
Announcement of successful candidates will be made in July 2019.

The Upper Peninsula Road Builders are an association of the fifteen Upper Peninsula County Road Commissions. Since 1967 the Upper Peninsula Road Builders have been providing scholarships and other financial support to Michigan Technological University Engineering and Surveying students. Upper Peninsula Road Builders members work in conjunction with the Upper Peninsula Distributors Association to sponsor events and solicit personal donations which fund this family of scholarships.

MSES is proud to announce its annual scholarship program available to college students pursuing a major/career in a transportation related field. The current application available at mses.org here is due Tuesday, February 19, 2019 and is required for all awards to be granted for the 2019-2020 academic school year. Applications may be submitted through the available online form at mses.org or downloaded via fillable PDFand e-mailed to info@mses.org.

Following receipt of the written application, all applicants will be required to participate in a scheduled interview between February 25, 2019 – March 7, 2019.
MSES Core School applicants (UM-Twin Cities, UM-Duluth, MN State-Mankato, NDSU, St. Cloud State) will participate via in-person interviews. MSES At-Large School applicants (Iowa State, Michigan Tech, SD School of Mines/Tech, University of Iowa, University of North Dakota, UW-Madison, UW-Platteville, University of St. Thomas) will participate via online interviews.
