Applications for the 2025-26 school year are now open. (DEADLINE: January 31, 2025)

The AGC of Michigan Educational Endowment Scholarship program has been providing undergraduate scholarships for students pursuing construction management or civil engineering degrees at accredited Michigan universities since 1984.

•        Need money for school?

•        Major in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field?

You can earn $2,000 or more toward tuition and books, for a small investment of your time.

SmithGroup is now accepting applications for the 2025 SmithGroup Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Scholarship program. The scholarship’s mission is to create a more diverse and inclusive design industry by providing students with opportunities to pursue their academic and professional goals. Students committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the design industry are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship provides a one-time award of $6,000 to five students studying either architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban planning or engineering, to help offset their tuition. Each recipient will also serve as a paid summer intern at any SmithGroup office in the United States where their discipline is located.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, December 1, 2024. Please share this scholarship opportunity with faculty, staff and students at your institution to encourage eligible students to apply.

The 2024-2025 ACEC/Michigan scholarship application is now available. We are pleased to provide students with an all-digital scholarship application process again this year, which allows students to save and work on the application over time as well as apply for multiple scholarships they may be eligible for with one application. 

The ACEC/Michigan scholarship is open to students who have lived, worked, or gone to school in Michigan. The student must have worked for a consulting engineering, surveying, or architectural/engineering firm within the past 24 months. The criteria is based on GPA, work experience, school or work references, and community activities. Applicants must also write an essay answering the question provided.

Last year, we awarded $20,000 in scholarship money divided between 6 students. Due to the generous contribution of Professional Concepts Insurance Agency (PCIA), an additional $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving engineering student who demonstrates exemplary community service. All applications submitted for the ACEC/Michigan scholarship are evaluated for this additional award.  

We would appreciate the distribution of the scholarship application to any students you know of who may be eligible, including your firm’s summer interns.

AWWA Scholarship Program applications are now open! Take a look at the website to see all of the scholarships availble.

WTBA awards two $5,000 Engineering Scholarships and two $3,000 Engineering Tech Scholarships each January at our Contractor-Engineer Conference.  Winners are encouraged to attend the ceremony for special recognition.

Students studying civil engineering, construction management, engineering tech, and other transportation construction-related fields are welcome to apply.

While most candidates fall into those fields of study and/or on our listed universities, colleges, and tech schools, any student who can demonstrate a clear interest in a potential career in the industry is also encouraged to apply.

Applications open Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024.  They’ll stay open until Friday, Nov. 15, 2024 but we encourage applicants to submit their forms and required documents early.  Last year, we saw double the number of typical applications.

The ASCE Michigan Section annually awards scholarships to deserving college students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering. Applications are due by Memorial Day each year. To be eligible, students must:

• Be a Michigan resident and US Citizen at the time of application,
• Be enrolled as a full time student (in good standing) at an ABET accredited college in a civil and/or environmental engineering program in the State of Michigan,
• Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 (out of 4.0) at the time of application.

Two scholarships are available, the Mackinac Scholarship ($10,000 total – $5,000 each year for 2 years) and the Zuidema Scholarship ($1,500). To apply, download the Scholarship Application and return it to the ASCE Michigan Section (information provided with application).

This year the Northwest Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers will be giving out one
$1,000 scholarship to civil engineering students who live within the boundaries of the Northwest
Wisconsin Branch. The intent of this scholarship is to recognize the unselfish contributions to
the civil engineering profession that were made by Mr. Harvey Goodell. The hope of the
Northwest Branch is that by awarding this scholarship, the spirit and enthusiasm shown by Mr.
Goodell will be perpetuated.

My name is Danielle Coppersmith, Manager of Communications and Events for the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association. I’m reaching out to you today in hopes that you can help spread the word to potential applicants about the MITA Scholarship Fund. 

The MITA Scholarship Fund offers financial support to individuals hoping to pursue a career in the heavy construction industry. This scholarship is not only available for students who may be looking to get a 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, etc. but also for those who are looking to attend a trade school. Anything heavy construction related. In an effort to get the word out to more potential applicants, I am wondering if you could add our link to a page of available scholarships on your website (if applicable) and share it with your department heads to share with students who would qualify and benefit.
